Know your real hourly cost
Your price needs to cover labour, employer or subcontractor costs where relevant, travel, products, equipment, insurance, admin time, taxes and a margin for the business.
Use starting prices carefully
A public “from” price can help customers understand the likely range, but it should not promise a fixed amount when property condition or scope can materially change the work.
Price specialist extras separately
Ovens, internal windows, carpet treatment, heavy limescale, inside cupboards and after-builders debris can change time and equipment requirements. Define what is included in your base service.
Set a minimum profitable job
Short jobs can still consume travel and admin time. A minimum booking value or minimum hours policy can stop apparently busy work from becoming unprofitable.
Set up your services and areas, then evaluate live opportunities before spending credits.
