Before you request quotes
Confirm the move-out date, whether the property will be empty, which appliances need internal cleaning, whether carpets need treatment and whether exterior or inside windows are included.
Kitchen
Typical scope can include worktops, cupboards, splashbacks, hob, extractor, oven, fridge, sink, taps, floors and reachable surfaces. State clearly whether appliances need internal cleaning because this can materially change the work required.
Bathrooms
Include showers or baths, screens, tiles, grout, toilets, basins, taps, mirrors, limescale and floors. Heavy limescale or mould should be mentioned before a provider quotes.
Bedrooms and living areas
Dusting, skirting boards, doors, switches, wardrobes where agreed, floors, vacuuming and internal glass are common tasks. Photograph unusually dirty areas so the cleaner can price the work more accurately.
Final handover
Ask what is included in the quote, how long the cleaner expects the work to take and whether they provide supplies and equipment. Keep any inventory or checkout requirements separate so the cleaning scope is easy to verify.
Create one complete cleaning request so suitable providers have the context they need to respond.
